The West Side Mosquito and Vector Control District is pleased to announce that we are accepting sealed bids for a construction project aimed at improving accessibility and ADA compliance at our district facilities.

Public Bid Opening: Thursday, January 15th, 2026, at 6:00 P.M.
Pre-Bid Job Walk (Mandatory – choose one):
Tuesday, January 6th, 2026 at 10:00 A.M.
Wednesday, January 7th, 2026 at 10:00 A.M.
Thursday, January 8th, 2026 at 10:00 A.M.
Location: 7004 Gas Company Rd., Taft, CA
Bid Submission:
All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly labeled: "Proposal No. 2025-02– Asphalt and Slurry Seal Project"
Late bids will not be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the District Office on the date noted above.
Contractor Requirements:
Must hold a valid Earthwork and Paving Contractor's License - C-12 pursuant to California Business and Professions Code § 7028.15
This is a prevailing wage project, subject to California Labor Code §§ 1720–1861
The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, as defined in California Public Contract Code § 20804
